In a changing world where unsustainable, harmful and wasteful business practices are commonplace, Hope Wood Craft takes pride in its use of reclaimed wood for a large portion of its products.
We utilise reclaimed wood from a variety of sources such as pallets, fences, bridges, doors, timber studwork etc, along with the upcycling of second-hand furniture. We go the extra mile when sourcing our reclaimed wood to ensure it is suitable, aesthetic, safe, and that we finish it to a high quality for production of our products.
Reclaimed wood brings a beautifully rustic and desirable character to products which utilise it, as well as telling a story of its past use, which we are more than happy to pass on to curious customers.
Besides its aesthetic benefits, use of reclaimed wood is a type of recycling and allows us to reduce our carbon footprint. Quality wood disposed of in skips and at tips likely ends up being burned as fuel, shredded, or rotting in landfill.
We try to always let you know an approximate of how much reclaimed wood was used in our products when you view a listing, and we try to keep use of plastics in our products to a minimum.
